This 5K race supports the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’s mission of eradicating breast cancer through advancing research, education, screening and treatment. The race includes both a 5K Co-ed Run/Walk and a 1-Mile Family Fun Run/Walk.
Daniel Island is the location of Coastal Living magazine’s 2013 Showhouse, a spectacular waterfront home built by Max Crosby Construction on a homesite overlooking the Wando River. The home showcases an impressive array of design, construction and decorating ideas. Tours cost $15, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Greater Carolinas chapter of the MS Society.
Park Day is an annual outdoor festival that benefits a variety of local non profit-organizations. This year’s event takes place at a new location, the brand-new Governor’s Park on Daniel Island.
