When first meeting Sally Castengera and Carol Evans, one notices that there is little physical resemblance between these two women. But once they start talking or laughing, which happens quite often, it is immediately apparent they are sisters.

This duo completes each other’s sentences, unknowingly read each other’s minds, and have been known to purchase identical items even when hundreds of miles apart. The two have fascinating, yet completely different backgrounds. Sally taught kindergarten, and Carol, “the creative one,” has dabbled in jewelry and interior design.

This dynamic pair only recently started working together as a team representing Daniel Island Real Estate. Sally has been with the company since the island’s development first began 13 years ago and has consistently been a top selling agent. She is familiar with every home, building and business within the community. Carol recently joined her as her partner.

“We share the same energy and work ethic,” says Carol. “Because living in a house and selling a house are two completely different things, Sally and I help our clients to understand what’s needed to sell their home.” This sometime includes decorating tips. “One time we even redecorated our way out of a good listing,” Sally exclaims. Apparently the owner liked the re-decorated version so much, they decided not to sell the house after all.

“You see,” Sally continues, “our goal is to do the right thing, which could mean losing a listing or possible sale. But to us, this philosophy is worth the risk because we want our clients to be 100% satisfied with the end result.”
