This highly-regarded public elementary/middle school opened in August 2006. The
two-story, state-of-the-art facility offers the latest in technology in each of
its 76 classrooms. The 34-acre campus represents an innovative combination of uses,
shared by the school, a 12-acre City of Charleston park and a county library. An
active parent teacher organization and community outreach programs have helped to
ensure the addition of many special programs, including foreign language classes,
artist residency programs, after school clubs and more.

Located just ten minutes from Daniel Island, Hanahan High School is known for
its close-knit, supportive environment. The school recently underwent an extensive
$23.5 million renovation, including the addition of a two-story building that houses
classrooms, science labs, computer labs, a band room and an impressive auditorium.
The school prides itself on high levels of parental and community involvement, as
well as strong curricular features.
